“Musso & Frank Grill in Hollywood is always a fun moment to dress up. I love the Old Hollywood feel, with circular booths named after Sinatra, Chaplin and The Rolling Stones, and the seat at the bar occupied by Brad Pitt’s character in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. The traditional steak-house offering is always good. My go-to order is a dry vodka martini with a twist and filet mignon with fries.”

“My go-to neighborhood joint is Taisho, a Japanese restaurant with great food, good drinks, and always a vibe. I like to get a table around 6:45pm and watch the place come alive. I also love Angler in the Beverly Center, a seafood restaurant that’s quite hidden – you have to pull into the valet parking lot to find it. The caviar and pancakes are a must, but the entire menu is fabulous. I usually order the green salad, sliced potato, artichokes and crusted fish.

“I love Amara Kitchen in Highland Park. The atmosphere is very laid-back – the perfect spot to go with a friend on the weekend. I like to get my meal to go and enjoy it in the park nearby. They make a beautiful poached egg with pesto, purple cabbage and beet puree – it’s full of color. Their Pearl Rose drink is delicious as well. If I’m in the mood, I’ll order the chocolate-chunk cookie to enjoy later. Everything they make is healthy but also truly comforting – the perfect combination. I feel nurtured when I eat here.”

“Found Oyster feels like a party. Even though it is a New England-inspired restaurant, it reminds me so much of hanging out at a fun oyster bar in my hometown, New Orleans. They don’t take reservations and it can be a bit of a wait, but everyone working there is so nice; you can get a glass of wine and relax with your friends outside until your table is ready. The food is fresh, delicious and not at all pretentious (I personally can’t deal with pretentious food). If you like comfort food and festive vibes, Found Oyster is your spot.”
