Sparking joy
From head-to-toe pink to statement accessories, there’s always an element of fun in Hanne’s outfits

Let your style express who you are

“I’d say my look is feminine, strong and playful. For me, authenticity is the most important part of feeling confident in an outfit. My fashion icons are powerful women in history and the creative industry – I have always admired people who are confident and dare to be different in how they express their style.”

Pack the right color palette

“A limited color palette is essential, especially when traveling, so you can mix and match pieces and style different outfits with ease – the more options, the better. Recently I went on a trip to India, for which I bought a lot of leopard-print pieces and a red striped Fendi logo bikini; lightweight pieces by Zimmermann and Jacquemus were also my go-to. At the beach, I’ll often opt for my Hunza G bikini, gold jewelry and an oversized straw bag by Jacquemus.”

Start with one piece you love

“When it comes to putting an outfit together, I always start with my favorite pieces, and that dictates the rest of the look, but it really depends on my mood. I care a lot about not being wasteful and try to be mindful of my purchases. Some of my current go-to pieces include Jennifer Behr headbands, The Row’s Double Circle bag, and vegan faux-leather pants by Nanushka. In the colder months, I take a practical approach to dressing and stick to layering looks, because you can easily combine so many different trends. In spring and summer, I love to be creative – I want to show that the clothes I’m wearing make me feel happy and free.”

Always have a fallback option

“During Fashion Month, I love to experiment with my styling. Fashion is about fun and I’m grateful to be able to select items from my favorite brands and wear them to the shows – I build outfits around those pieces with my existing wardrobe. My fallback look is both stylish and functional: a statement blouse, long blazer, loose pants and boots, because they offer versatile styling options – this season, I’m loving tucking the pants into the boots. You can wear those looks for a business meeting, but also feel comfortable in them when traveling. For a night out, my outfit needs to fit the occasion and location. In Paris, for example, I prefer a sexy and feminine look, such as a silk slip dress by Orseund Iris or Skin.”

Use jewelry to make it personal

“Accessories and jewelry are a great way to complete your look, and my favorite pieces are associated with memories. It could have been a gift from someone I love, or something I treated myself to for a special occasion. The most treasured pieces in my collection remind me of special moments and milestones in my life, like my Celine ‘L’ necklace, which was from my boyfriend. When it comes to fashion jewelry it’s all about having fun, especially in summer, when you can experiment with statement earrings, stacked bracelets and layered necklaces.”

Pick a focal point

“When it comes to beauty I used to focus a lot on my hair, but the more I work as a model, the more I love to style it straight, and instead put emphasis on my face. I prefer a natural look so I protect my skin with SPF and moisturizer. Currently, I also like to experiment with makeup like different eyeshadows – it’s so much fun!”
