Edita Vilkeviciute’s AM/PM routine
Ever wondered what a supermodel’s beauty routine really involves? From her large assortment of vitamins to her little black book of aestheticians, we discover what it takes to get EDITA’s picture-perfect skin
IN THE MORNING
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day…
…and I usually start with a smoothie; I always feel my best when I eat fruit in the morning. Then I have eggs, usually soft-scrambled with avocado, and some oatmeal made with almond milk.
I body brush every morning without fail…
…to kick-start my circulation. I find that it makes my skin incredibly soft. I often mix my body products with a good-quality olive oil, especially if my body is super-dry. I add a few drops to my avocado body oil and it truly transforms my skin.
I feel and listen to what my skin needs…
…but while I try to switch up my skincare regimen with something new, I often end up going back to the same products. I use a purifying cleanser, which makes my skin feel super-fresh first thing, then I follow with a hyaluronic acid and a rich face cream. Eye cream has also become a non-negotiable for me, and I’m currently using a lifting gel.
I’m really into taking vitamin supplements…
…and I have regular blood work to check in on my levels. At the moment I take a cocktail of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins B6 and C, zinc, selenium, calcium and magnesium.
IN THE EVENING
My number one beauty rule is…
…to always remove my makeup at night, no matter how late it is. I wash my face with my purifying cleanser.
I use use a face mask and a skin peel once a week…
…but if I have more time, I visit the Advanced Skin Care Day Spa in New York. I book in with the co-founder, Isabel Anton, who is like a magician for my skin. And when I’m in LA, I book in with Inara Lopetaite at L’inara Skin Care Studios in Beverly Hills – it’s my most recent discovery.
On my bedside table…
…you’ll find a glass of room-temperature water, my beloved Chanel hand cream and my phone.
To cope with jet lag…
…I always work out on touchdown; it helps me to keep my to energy up and reset my body clock. If I’m in New York or LA, I visit Dogound gym or I book in with Eva Kaczor, an amazing yoga teacher for different practices, breath work, stretching sessions and meditation.
I add two tablespoons of brewer’s yeast to my water…
…in the evening to help with my digestion and gut health, and I’ve seen real benefits. Drinking lots of water really is the best piece of beauty advice – it makes a huge difference to my skin.
