IN THE MORNING

I wake up to…

…a very large pot of coffee. I’m a coffee addict, but I’m trying to cut down by switching to warm water with a squeeze of lemon juice, which I’ve found gives me a surprising amount of energy. If I’m feeling super-sluggish, I’ll top up with a vitamin C supplement.

When I travel…

…it sometimes unbalances my gut, so I take Bodyism’s Ultimate Clean Sachet Box, a high-fiber probiotic powder that I mix with water to soothe my stomach.

I work out for an hour…

…and stream Tracy Anderson Method videos. It’s hard, but the Method works the smaller side muscles that give that tight tone and all those sexy dents. I travel with my ankle weights and use dumbbells to try to recreate a hot studio in my hotel bathroom with the shower steaming – it got me into trouble once when the steam set off the hotel’s fire alarm.

Next, SPF…

…because not everyone in fashion likes [models to have] a tan, but I tan very easily, so it has made me a real SPF obsessive. I wear factor 50 head to toe every day.

I’m obsessed with makeup…

…and I love to try new products and play around with different looks, which I show on my Snapchat tutorials. My love of beauty stems from growing up in a more restrictive Russia and not being allowed to wear makeup.

The best makeup technique I’ve learnt is…

…from watching [makeup artist] Pat McGrath, who is a stickler for concealer. Any strong light or flashbulb can pick up blemishes, so I now spend more time on concealing and deflecting light with the right products. I use a YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Luminizing Pen in the middle of my forehead and on cheekbones to bring light to those planes of my face. Then I use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage on any blemishes, and a stick foundation on top to blend it all in. Having a good base makes me feel far more confident.

I’ll do a smoky eye…

…or an elongated liner. I mastered liner by first drawing the shape with an eye pencil and then going over it with liquid to intensify, flicking upwards at the end. For my smoky eye, my base shadow is always black and I lift it by pressing a metallic shadow on the center of the lid with my fingertip.

IN THE EVENING

Every night…

…I do a deep-cleansing ritual using a Clarisonic with the sensitive head attachment, because I’m super-conscious of pollution and what it is doing to my skin. Without fail, I cocktail my serums under a night cream and, when my skin feels particularly dry, I use Sisley’s Black Rose Cream Mask, which plumps everything – it’s amazing.

I’ve recently started using…

…a red light handheld therapy device every night for a month and have noticed that my skin has become much plumper. The warmth of the light helps any serums I put on underneath to sink in quicker – it’s a real game changer.

In bed I always wear…

…a silk eye mask. I need between eight or nine hours sleep a night and I need the room to be dark, which is tricky as my husband [Dutch businessman Peter Bakker] likes to sleep with the TV on.

If I’m wired but tired…

…then I listen to some sleep hypnosis by Steven Gurgevich on my phone. It’s a little like a self-trance and I do it for an hour – I listen to him and then I literally pass out. It’s particularly good for long-haul flights, once I’ve watched all the movies.
