The label to love: Laura Lombardi
Laura Lombardi is of the belief that jewelry doesn’t have to be dainty. The Brooklyn-based designer established her label back in 2010 using repurposed and recycled materials to create her chunky chains, necklaces, cuffs and hoop earrings, and her fans – including the likes of actor and fashion experimenter Tracee Ellis Ross and Vanessa Hong, founder of style blog The Haute Pursuit – are regularly spotted in them. These handmade pieces might be precious, but they can be worn with almost anything. We’ll be teaming the gold hoops and chain with double denim to tap into this season’s ’80s trend, Sade-style.
