Presenting Our Incredible Women Of 2025

We are excited to present NET-A-PORTER’s Incredible Women of 2025. To mark Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we are honoring women whose strength, talent and impact are defining the year – and who are shaping their industries and paving the future for us all. This year also marks 25 years of NET-A-PORTER, so what better way to mark the occasion than a series of interviews with inspirational thought leaders who are the embodiment of female empowerment and drive. By KATIE BERRINGTON

In order of appearance: Mikey Madison (wearing black top), Chappell Roan, and Lisa

The actors, the musicians, the sports heroes, the writers and directors and the changemakers. We have chosen 25 women, across all of these categories, who are making a mark and driving progress in their arenas and beyond. In honor of Women’s History Month, we will be celebrating these women every Friday until the end of March, with a feature dedicated to each group.

The actors are an eminent cohort: Best Actress Oscar nominee Mikey Madison, recognized for her performance in Anora; Sophie Wilde, who had her breakout role in Halina Reijn’s Babygirl at the beginning of the year; Nico Parker, who appears in The Last of Us, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy and How to Train Your Dragon; Meghann Fahy, star of The White Lotus season two and The Perfect Couple, who is in the new Blumhouse horror, Drop, and TV show Sirens; and indie actor Geraldine Viswanathan, who has the major Marvel Thunderbolts* release and an appearance in Sundance Film Festival favorite Oh, Hi! on the horizon.

On the music front, we are celebrating Chappell Roan, who swept the board at the Grammys with her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess and is currently on her sell-out world tour; rapper Lisa, who has achieved global fame with K-pop’s Blackpink and isn’t just dropping her own new music this year, but also making her acting debut in The White Lotus season three; the UK’s most exciting new dance act, Jyoty; soul star Cleo Sol, the triple Mobo nominee; and Rose Gray, who released her critically acclaimed debut album Louder, Please in January.

The writers and directors are Coralie Fargeat, triple Oscar-nominated for her satirical body-horror movie The Substance; filmmaker Celine Song, who follows her directorial debut Past Lives with the star-studded upcoming Materialists; the award-winning author of Detransition, Baby, Torrey Peters, who publishes her sophomore novel Stag Dance this spring; Rebecca F. Kuang, the bestselling author behind Yellowface, whose next novel Katabasis is out later this year; and novelist and poet Leila Mottley, who has The Girls Who Grew Big slated for the summer.

Then there are the sport heroes: tennis-legend-in-the-making Coco Gauff; England Lioness and Chelsea footballer Lauren James; basketball player A’ja Wilson, three-time MVP (Most Valuable Player); England cricketer Maia Bouchier; and the record-setting freestyle skier Eileen Gu.

Finally, we are honoring changemakers whose courage and commitment, often in the face of adversity, are driving progress and giving reason for hope – even in the most tumultuous times. Amanda Nguyen, the civil-rights activist and astronaut, whose memoir Saving Five is out now; designer Destiny Pinto, who reimagines medical devices into fashion-forward accessories; environmental activist Leah Thomas (aka Green Girl Leah), who is behind climate-justice collective The Intersectional Environmentalist; Reni Eddo-Lodge, the renowned writer who is launching her own imprint with Harper Collins, as “a home for revelatory, original and agenda-setting writing”; and Gisèle Pelicot, whose extraordinary bravery in the public rape trial against her husband and 50 other men in France delivered a powerful, headline-making message to the world that “shame must swap sides”.

We will be honoring the Incredible Women of 2025 every Friday for the next five weeks – read their stories and discover their work and impact on PORTER. Season nine of the Incredible Women podcast: Passion & Purpose is also dropping in March; tune in every Tuesday for a new episode.
