Everybody’s wearing Bottega Veneta
There’s no doubt about it – Bottega Veneta is still the brand of the moment
If the streets outside every major show this season were anything to go by, it’s clear that the fashion world’s obsession with Bottega Veneta is here to stay. Creative director Daniel Lee took home four statuettes (more than any designer ever before) at last year’s Fashion Awards, making him a firm favorite among the fashion cognoscenti.
At Milan Fashion Week, Chloé Harrouche paired her chain-embellished pouch by the label with a luxe knitted dress. If you’ve got your eyes on this style, follow her lead and add synergy to your look with chunky gold chain jewelry to match. Alternatively, use eye-popping shades to enliven an earthy or neutral color palette with one of the brand’s vibrant primary-colored bags. Look to fashion editor Linda Tol, who was recently spotted in brown leather co-ords with a woven turquoise clutch, for inspiration. Similarly, a Bottega Veneta bag in cream will look phenomenally chic when worn alongside garments in darker hues.
Since his appointment in June 2018, we’ve seen Lee’s future-facing vision for the storied label play out across a handful of collections. His mastery of color, fabric, shape and silhouette has enthralled the industry. The accessories in particular have proved to be fashion catnip, with virtually every style insider sporting the slouchy bags, woven totes, netted shoes or square-toed mules. Our top tip? Get your hands on a piece (or 10) while you can.
