5 things to love about Deitas

Here are the things you need to know about our latest Scandinavian design obsession

The label

Deitas was founded in 2012 by Swedish designer Josephine Dahlin (back then, a luxury brand consultant) and her friend Madeleine Engelbert. They named it after the Latin word for divinity and specialized in silk shirts but, since 2016, Dahlin has gone solo and expanded the range.

You’ll want to wear it forever

Deitas is all about timeless appeal rather than trend box-ticking. You’ll find incredibly luxe fabrics and simple, contemporary shapes that you can wear from day to night and look effortlessly elegant.

It’s here to make packing easy

Dahlin is based between Stockholm and Monte Carlo, so she knows a thing or two about packing with ease. Her dresses are designed to be the building blocks of your ultimate travel wardrobe – they’re all incredibly light and take up next-to-no space in your suitcase.

It was only a matter of time

You might not know the name yet, but you’ve likely seen – and loved – Deitas’ designs already, via Instagram. Pernille Teisbaek wore a custom-made Deitas dress to dance the night away at her wedding; Babba Canales wore the label at her reception; and Margherita Missoni, Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert and Linn Hägglund are all fans.

It’s all about the dress

From pretty ruffled gowns to one-shoulder, puffed sleeved designs, these are pieces to see you through the summer months with just a pair of sandals or stylish heels thrown into the mix.
