The evening update: Fringing

As party season approaches and your diary starts to fill up fast, it’s time to step up your after-dark approach. Luckily, the runways were awash with decadent details including sequins, crystals and ruffles, and most excitingly of all, fringing returned to the fashion front line. The standouts? Stella McCartney’s minimalist flapper dress and souped-up blazer, the jaw-dropping dresses by Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz, and Simon Porte Jacquemus’ Studio 54-inspired show-stopper. Nothing encourages dancing ’till dawn like fringing – just finish with barely there sandals and high-octane accessories.
