In order of appearance: dress, Tove; crystal-embellished bag, Rabanne; pants, Rôhe; ring, Almasika; top, Faithfull; earrings Sophie Buhai; tote, Acne Studios; ballet flats, Alaïa

You only have to look at the roster of incredible women who have worn Tove to know how much the brand’s dresses are adored – Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Naomi Watts, Katie Holmes and PORTER cover star Simone Ashley have all chosen one of the designs for high-profile events this year. Sleek and understated but no-less captivating, this ‘Luella’ maxi dress has a beautiful, liquid-like drape and is gently gathered at the waist to accentuate curves.

“For me, no item of clothing is more versatile than a maxi dress,” says NET-A-PORTER’s junior market editor, Abbi Minchin. “Whether worn to the office or dressed up for a formal event, it can be styled in many ways to suit the occasion.” Tove’s style not only comes in the color of the season but is made from springy stretch-knit that’s both incredibly flattering and comfortable – two key components when making a purchase. “I would style it with knee-high boots and a blazer during the day, and then change into heeled sandals for the evening,” she adds.

What’s more, the metallic burgundy tone feels suitably festive and pairs perfectly with gold, so don’t be afraid to go all out with your accessories. Rabanne’s gilded chainmail ‘1969 Filet’ bag is embellished with light-catching crystal fringing and deserves its moment to shine on the dance floor.

If you’re hosting an intimate dinner party or gathering, you’ll want your outfit to reflect the mood for the evening: sophisticated and relaxed. Hitting the sweet spot, Faithfull’s ‘Fleuri’ top from our NET SUSTAIN edit is handmade from linen with a strapless, pleated neckline and flattering darts at the waist. Complete a chic ensemble with Róhe’s wide-leg pants in beige cotton-twill and low-heeled mules. Finally, Minchin suggests adding a statement earring into the mix. “FW24 was all about personality accessories, and designers continue to experiment and evolve their jewelry assortment this season to create a more varied offer,” she says. Capturing the sentiment, Sophie Buhai’s ‘Flamenco’ earrings from our NET SUSTAIN edit have been crafted in downtown LA and are strung with playful carnelian tassels for a welcome pop of color.

For events that require you to leave the house, pick up Acne Studios’ ‘Bowlina’ bag (another NET SUSTAIN highlight) to round off your outfit. Modeled by singer Charli XCX in the SS25 campaign, it’s crafted from dark-brown crinkled leather and has an unusual fortune-cookie shape. Best of all, it’s large enough to fill with everything you need for the day, including a notebook and headphones.
