Find your signature

“There are a lot of designers that I love, including Isabel Marant, Caroline Constas and Self-Portrait. The common thread is that they all create statement pieces that are incredibly effortless and easy to wear. My style is quite feminine and polished but I don’t like anything too stuffy, so this really appeals to me. Another example is Jacquemus, which features heavily on my wish list this season. I’ve been a huge fan since the beginning and have been building up a collection of its pieces.”

Try transitional dressing

“I don’t necessarily ‘dress up’ for nights out; I’m more into wearing transitional pieces that can carry me through from the day to the evening. My life is so busy that I try to make things easier when I can: I’ll just swap sandals for heels if I’m wearing an asymmetric dress or add some statement jewelry and lipstick if I’m wearing a logo tee, jeans and blazer. I always wear a couple of gold necklaces and a set of stacked rings that my boyfriend gave me – they are one of the most treasured pieces I own – but I like to elevate a look for evening by adding big jewelry with serious wow factor.”

Invest in timeless pieces

“Marysia is my go-to swimwear brand; I’ve been championing it since it launched back in 2009. I love the simplicity of the designs, they never go out of style, and the fit has just gotten better and better. I purge my closet every other month, but there are certain pieces that I always hold on to, like my Mara Hoffman dresses. There are so many things about Mara’s pieces that I love: the colors; the fit; the fact they’re size-inclusive. Mara has her own distinctive aesthetic so her pieces never fall out of fashion. I’ve got designs of hers that I bought seven or eight years ago and still wear regularly.”

Be a cut above

“The key to great hair is a great cut, especially when you have short hair like mine. My hairstylist travels just as much as I do and has a huge wait list but he’s worth it. I think my whole aesthetic changed when he cut my hair. Before, I used to drown it in products because I didn’t have the shape I wanted, but now I just wash and go. I’ve also streamlined my skincare; I change my routine every day depending on what I need, whether it’s vitamin C or hyaluronic acid. I’m constantly trying new brands but some of my favorites are SK-II, La Mer and Tata Harper. Makeup-wise, it really depends on where I’m going and how much time I have to get ready, but I love playing with colored eye shadows – I’ve been wearing pinks and blues lately. I stick to classic lipstick shades like corals and reds.”

Perfect the art of packing

“When it comes to vacations, Cuba and Peru are the next destinations on my hit list. Traveling so often for work means I’ve got the art of packing down pat. To get the most out of the space in my case, I always stuff gym clothes and underwear into my handbags –this also helps them hold their shape. I prefer to roll my clothes as opposed to folding them as I’m convinced they get less creased that way. I’m a last-minute packer but very methodical. If I’m going away for seven days, I’ll pack seven pre-planned outfits made up of elements that I can mix and match and just a few pair of shoes that work with a lot of looks. One thing I always pack, no matter what kind of trip I’m going on, is a blazer. You can wear it with denim or over a slip dress to dinner, or sometimes I’ll throw it on over a sweater and leggings when I’m traveling and it makes me feel instantly pulled together.”
