The game changer: A pumped-up peplum

This season’s peplum pieces are less fashion frippery, more sartorial shape-maker, but don’t be daunted by its out-there proportions. The exaggerated peplum, championed by new-gen designers, including British wunderkind Molly Goddard and Danish up-and-comer Cecilie Bahnsen, works just as well off the runway. Dress a peplum top down with love-worn jeans and minimal mules for a relaxed weekend look, or play with proportions and pair it with a full or figure-hugging skirt for a city wedding. Don’t overwork the overall effect – finish the look with slicked-back hair and dewy skin.
